We are excited to share that our Secretary General, Madadh MacLaine, will be a speaker at the upcoming @WMU-BUGWRIGHT2 Forum 2024. hosted by the WMU-Sasakawa Global Ocean Institute (GOI) at the World Maritime University (WMU) and will take place in Athens on 16 February 2024. The WMU-BUGWRIGHT2 Forum marks milestone in the European Union's Horizon2020 funded project, Overcoming Regulatory Barriers for Service Robotics in an Ocean Industry Context (BUGWRIGHT2). Since its inception, BUGWRIGHT2 has aimed to bridge the gap between current capabilities and the future potential of service robotics in vessel survey, inspection, and maintenance. The GOI's role in crafting an advanced regulatory framework for robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) is vital in achieving these goals. Madadh MacLaine will join a panel of national and international experts to discuss the integration and challenges of technology within the maritime and ocean industries. The forum will serve as a crucial platform for dialogue, focusing on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges of implementing new technologies and techniques in this sector. Our team had an extremely proactive trip to the #windeurope2024 exhibition in Bilbao this week and like our robots, made good use of a narrow window of opportunity to successfully grow our network and generate new business interest. As a people-centric business, BladeBUG prides itself on building deep and enduring partnerships so it was great to make time and meet with our highly valued customers, suppliers, and overseas partners including robotic lead engineer Lisandro Puglisi from EDP who are this year's event ambassadors and will be visiting us during our next project in Spain. Make no mistake, the wind sector is growing rapidly and the exhibition halls echoed that vibrant energy, thriving with people networking and businesses collaborating to find new innovative ways of working #safer, #faster, and #smarter through #innovation and #technology adoption. By 2030 it is reported that the sector will employ over 500,000 people in Europe alone, up from 300,000 jobs today presenting a significant challenge of finding additional skilled workers in such a short time frame. Adopting technologies such as #ai and #robotics to deliver greater levels of #autonomy is a fundamental step towards addressing this challenge as it enhances capability and enables teams to work more efficiently and effectively without necessarily increasing headcount. We believe that working with industry to understand these challenges is critical to developing the right solutions and enables growing innovative businesses like BladeBUG to support a strong, sustainable, and competitive economy.

After 2 years of hard working with my beloved team ❤️ ❤️ Thrilled to share our graduation project and gaind experience ,thrilled to announce the successful completion of our graduation project: Shake and Slither ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Objective: To create a versatile, resilient, and highly maneuverable robot capable of navigating through confined spaces and challenging terrains to assist in search and rescue missions. 🐍 Design Inspiration: Inspired by the flexibility and adaptability of snakes, our robot mimics their unique movement patterns, enabling it to traverse through debris, rubble, and narrow passages where traditional robots and humans cannot reach. Features: -Modular Design: Easily customizable segments for different mission requirements. -AI model: Provided a humanly thinking to give a right decision as a human -Advanced Sensors: Equipped with cameras, thermal sensors, and microphones to detect survivors. -Real-time Data Transmission: Firebase provides instant feedback to rescue teams, enhancing decision-making and coordination. -Durable Build: Robust materials and components to withstand harsh environments. Team Effort: This project wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support and collaboration from my mentors, peers, and the robotics lab team. The PANDA project provided a unique, unified organization of digital models that seamlessly integrated virtual and real testing of all types of electrified vehicles and their components. The project implemented a modular simulation philosophy, utilizing the Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) framework, which allowed development partners to easily share component models in either open or black-box forms and integrate them in a single, real-time co-simulation between the cloud-based Siemens AMESim and a Typhoon HIL testbed. This approach was estimated to reduce the electric vehicle development time by 20%, and significantly streamline the process of integrating models for real-time, hardware-in-the-loop tests. This is a video report from the #H2020 PANDA project's Final Event held at Lille University of Science and Technology on May 24-25, 2022, where the partners gathered to disseminate project results to the public.
