🛤 Pair bag £60M of groundworks on rail network 🛤 A #jointventure of Dorset firm Suttle Projects and #Nottinghamshire's Van Elle will deliver up to £60M of #drainage and #earthworks jobs on the #railway under a new deal. Network Rail appointed the partnership to lot 8 of Southern Integrated Delivery's #MinorWorks, #Building and #Civils framework. This deal will see Suttle and Van Elle carry out planned, low-complexity projects in the region over the next decade. Southern Integrated Delivery sees VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd, VolkerRail Ltd, Octavius Infrastructure and AtkinsRéalis join #NetworkRail to oversee infrastructure works following a project 13 delivery model. The body appointed 15 suppliers to the minor works, building and civils framework. This rationalises seven existing deals into one and awards work directly rather than via mini-competitions in a bid to create long-term, value-driven relationships. Octavius was appointed to lot 1 of the framework, making it responsible for all reactive buildings works in the southern region across control periods 7 and 8. This package is estimated at £170M over the next five years, meaning it could potentially be worth £340M over the contract lifecycle. Dyer & Butler will deliver reactive civils work, including #emergency #earthworks, under lot 5, which could have a value of £320M in total. Planned #fabric works will be carried out by B & M McHugh Limited and #SpenceRefit; known services tasks by KH Engineering Services Ltd and VVB Engineering; and planned roofing projects by GS Moore Roofing Contractors. #Construction Marine was named for #metallicstructures, CK Rail Solutions and Nationwide Engineering for masonry; and a consortium of Wessex Coombes Forestry, Kent Enable Infrastructure and Sussex Cleshar Contract Services for off-track works. Southern Integrated Delivery director Liz Baldwin said: “We want to radically transform the way in which suppliers are incentivised and rewarded in the region, in particular by decoupling turnover from profit and incentivising delivery partners around efficiencies and outcomes. "This is a step change in the way contractors currently operate today in the rail industry.” https://lnkd.in/eSYNFRX2

🛣️🏗️ Constructing highways requires a solid foundation, and that's where soil-cement or gravel-cement plants play a crucial role. 💪🚧 But here's the catch: the demand for massive quantities of construction materials means these plants are the backbone of progress. Their efficiency directly impacts the speed of construction. ⏩💼 www.stainmann.com #infrastructure #constructionprogress #roadbuilding #constructionmaterials #efficiency #stainmann

When it comes to moving material, we’re reinventing the wheel(barrow) and making it a significantly more efficient process. #safety #efficiency
🚀 Exciting News for Construction Pros! 🏗️ Attention all construction aficionados! 🛠️ Let's talk efficiency and productivity in our projects! Today, I'm diving into a critical aspect of construction: moving materials. Specifically, let's compare the classic .222 cubic yard wheelbarrow with the modern .333 cubic yard and .500 cubic yard electric Twinca. In the battle of the wheelbarrows, size truly matters. While the traditional .222 cubic yard wheelbarrow has been a staple on job sites for decades, its larger counterparts, the electric Twinca, bring a new level of power and capacity to the table. 💡 Advantages of Electric Twinca: 1. Capacity: With sizes ranging from .333 to .500 cubic yards, electric Twinca can handle significantly larger loads compared to the standard wheelbarrow. 2. Efficiency: Electric power means less manual labor, reducing strain on workers and increasing overall efficiency. 3.Speed: Larger capacity and motorized movement can significantly speed up the material-moving process, saving valuable time on projects. But, the big question remains: How long would it take to move 10 cubic yards of cement with each option? Let's do some math: * With a .222 cubic yard wheelbarrow, assuming each trip takes about 5 minutes, it would take approximately 90 trips to move 10 cubic yards. * For a .333 cubic yard electric Twinca, each trip might take 3 minutes, totaling around 60 trips. * And with a .500 cubic yard electric Twinca, assuming even faster movement, it might only take 40 trips, each lasting about 2 minutes. Clearly, the electric Twinca, especially the .500 cubic yard version, offers a significant advantage in terms of speed and efficiency. In conclusion, as the construction industry evolves, embracing modern tools like electric Twinca can revolutionize our workflows, boosting productivity and ultimately leading to faster project completion times. Let's embrace innovation and build a brighter future together! 💪🏼🏗️ #cratosequipment #safetyfirst #concretecutting #buildersofprogress #rental #equipmentrental #construction #twinca #sustainabledemolition #infrastructure #interiordemolition #selectivedemolition #demolition #enviormental
