Here in the UK 51% of us are biologically female and that proportion of our population will all go through menopause. This can happen due to medical reasons, illness or age. We are embracing these changes and supporting our colleagues to bring awareness for World Menopause Day. At DustScanAQ we are doing this by starting with an open conversation (with cake of course) to debunk some myths, share some facts and answer any and all questions to raise awareness and relinquish taboos. Yesterday was an eye-opener for me and a bit bittersweet... John Good Group | Growing Businesses Together are always thinking about how to prepare our employees for any given situation and raise awareness on specific health matters. Yesterday some of the team were recipients of menopause training: ✅ Understanding it ✅ Symptoms ✅ Breaking the stigma (open forum) Mum is not here anymore 💗 and after sitting in the menopause training, I think depression and anxiety can sometimes be misdiagnosed, when in fact, potentially, women could be going through menopause and the right treatment (HRT) could be applied. A lot more has to be done to raise awareness around this subject and more importantly, businesses should incorporate this training because it will only help EVERYONE - from engaging around the subject to seeking support/ guidance. John Good Group continue to onboard initiatives that drive benefit, break down taboo subjects and also educate!
