Our friends at The Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO), sent out this update and we wanted to share it with our network as well. The Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact will increase access to care by allowing licensed dentists and hygienists to practice in the other participating states. Our very own Rebecca Misner, DMD provided testimony throughout multiple committee hearings on the importance of the compact to address workforce shortage issues and increase access to care. Due in large part to the ADSO’s efforts, the interstate compact has successfully passed the Colorado legislature. The bill now awaits enactment after the Governor signs the bill into law. In Minnesota, the legislative session is entering its final days with the interstate compact passed fully through the Senate. The bill now awaits an important conference committee convening for the House to adopt the bill and subsequently send it to the Governor for enactment. #ADSO #DentistAndDentalHygienistCompact #IncreasingAccess #DSO #MissionDriven
