When heating the glass toughening machine for the first time, it is imperative to follow a gradual heating rate of 30 to 50°C per hour. Considering the possibility of residual moisture inside the glass tempering furnace, it is necessary to maintain the temperature at key intervals of 200°C, 300 to 350°C, 400 to 450°C, and 550°C for 2 to 4 hours respectively. The size of individual glass sheets and the number of sheets placed in a single furnace cycle can significantly affect the heating duration. Therefore, adjustments should be made based on these factors during operation. For larger glass panels, the heating time should be relatively extended. When the shape of the glass panel is close to a square, using a low-temperature heating method with prolonged duration is recommended. It's essential to understand that the glass heat absorption process within the glass tempering furnace starts from the edges of the glass and gradually transfers to the centre. If the heating time is set too short, the middle of the glass may not heat adequately. When the glass tempering machine is operating normally, the tempering furnace must reach its rated working temperature within no more than 5 hours from the start of heating. This is to ensure that the glass tempering machine can operate efficiently and stably while also avoiding excessively long waiting periods. 2. It is important to note that under certain special circumstances, the heating time may vary. For example, when the glass tempering furnace is used for its initial firing operation, or when the glass tempering machine is restarted after being shut down for a week, a longer time is required to stabilize the temperature. When the glass first enters the heating furnace, it heats up very quickly due to the significant temperature difference between the glass and the furnace. As the temperature of the glass approaches that of the furnace, the rate of heating slows down. When the temperature difference between the inner and outer layers of the glass approaches zero, the rate of heat transfer also slows down significantly. 2. When the set temperature of the tempering furnace is too high, the temperature of the glass inside the furnace exceeds the softening point of the glass, causing the glass to deform easily. This severely affects the surface quality of the tempered glass. 3. When the set temperature of the glass tempering furnace is too low, the heating temperature of the glass is insufficient. The inner layer of the glass cannot be adequately heated in the same amount of time, and its residual stress cannot be fully relaxed. This will affect the redistribution of stress after cooling, leading to the glass being more prone to breakage during rapid cooling. When processing tempered glass, we sometimes encounter problems with the fragments not meeting standards. When this occurs, we need to take the following measures: 1. If the wind pressure during the tempering cooling process is too low, it can lead to oversized fragments of the tempered glass. To solve this problem, we can appropriately increase the wind pressure in the quenching section when setting the tempering parameters. Also, consider moderately reducing the distance between the upper and lower tempering chiller, which can enhance the cooling effect and further reduce the size of the fragments. 2. Another possible cause of non-standard fragments is the glass's low exit temperature from the furnace. In this case, we can modify the tempering parameters to increase the set temperature or extend the heating time of the glass in the heating furnace. This ensures that the glass reaches the appropriate exit temperature and meets the requirements for the number of fragments. 3. To address the issue of tempered glass fragments, not meeting standards, we can optimize them by adjusting parameters such as tempering wind pressure and exit temperature.
