Powered by AI, Ebb is designed by leading mental health experts to help you get to know yourself on a deeper level with thoughtful prompts and responses along the way. A challenging space to put out an app in. Having created AI for managing mental health in the UKs NHS Im excited about what benefits can be brought to address the mental health crisis we have been increasingly facing since Covid.
Tina Hardison ..For many years I’ve realised that Insights are best cultivated within a space of psychological safety that allows for psychological bravery. This then can foster the stabilised Mental Health needed as a foundation for Mental Coherence, Diversity, Congruence and Consistency, resources and functioning required for the sustainable momentum of Creativity needed for Innovation that has impact. If this process is missing in AI developers it will end up being missing in AIs. AI currently has issues with its own mental health. It hallucinates, can be mentally incoherent, incongruent, inconsistent and can lack sustainable creativity that has genuine value for innovation. AIs limitations then are directly correlated with the limited functions of its creators.
This looks like a delightful reflection reinforcement tool for coaching clients who are becoming familiar with or want to enhance their use of private reflection. Client: “yes, but how can I reflect with myself when I’m alone the same way we do when I’m sitting down with you? Client: use a notebook, or voice memo. Or, if you want feedback and iteration, use this thing called ebb. Great example of how AI can elevate the human-human coaching experience.
