Inspiring article from Ellie!
My Beacon article going live now!🤩 While doing an internship at Lighthouse, I was fascinated to see and learn how PR can do far beyond changing consumers’ shopping behaviour. For the latest edition of The Beacon, I wrote about the role of public relations in the current increased social awareness time. By talking about my experiences as a university student and an intern at Lighthouse, I discuss the power of public relations to drive social change, and how creativity can come into play in PR campaign. From the quarterly published The Beacon magazine, you can get valuable insight from Lighthouse practitioners unpacking various topics in the pr and comms industry. 🔗Subscribe for more! https://bit.ly/3VmM3Oj

Meet the team 👇🏻 Henry's journey with Corpore began in the summer of 2018, stepping into the public relations field as an intern. Coming from a background in political science and economics, he found himself in unfamiliar territory. Yet, by 2019, after a couple more internships and a steep learning curve, he became a full-time member of the Corpore family. For him, it's been a path filled with growth 📈 and unexpected opportunities. Working in PR, especially on public affairs projects, has opened his eyes to the intricacies of communicating in a complex world. Every client and project brings its own set of challenges, from navigating the nuances of pharmaceuticals to the fast-paced world of consumer electronics, fintech, IPOs, and bond issues. His foray into digital strategies, particularly in crafting compelling social media narratives, has allowed him to blend creativity with strategic communication on many occasions. Outside the office, Henry's life is a blend of personal passions and hobbies. From rigorous workouts at the gym and delving into mostly non-fiction books 📚 to exploring obscure knowledge online and DJing at local speakeasies and private events, these activities provide a creative outlet and balance to his professional life. One memorable day encapsulates the diversity of Henry's role: transitioning from a critical meeting on a public affairs project to rushing through the rain 🌧️ to deliver cat litter to a local celebrity’s home for a social media campaign. It's these moments, filled with unpredictability and a hint of surrealism, that highlight the dynamic nature of PR. Reflecting on his time at Corpore, it's the continuous learning and the breadth of experiences, from public affairs to digital storytelling, that Henry values. Each day offers new challenges and opportunities for growth, making this journey not just a job, but a passion. Also, the coffee ☕. The coffee is excellent…

Just when you think you've hit the marketing jackpot with a flood of form submissions over the weekend 🚀... Plot twist: it's just our intern, making sure 'submit' actually means 'submit' and not 'send your details into the digital void.' 🕳️💻 Big shoutout to our interns, who are out there making sure our digital paperwork actually works. And here I was, ready to pop the champagne, thinking we'd just set a new record. 🍾😂 Lesson of the day? Every form submission counts, but maybe double-check those numbers before you start celebrating. Also, huge props to the behind-the-scenes heroes making sure our marketing machinery runs smoothly—even if it means giving us false alarms now and then. Here's to the real wins, the almost-wins, and everything in between. Because in the end, it's all about getting better, one form test at a time. 🏆🔄 #MarketingMishaps #Interns #DigitalMarketing

What project(s) have you worked on during Session 1? During session one I was a member of the public affairs team, which primarily dedicated to promoting our website as well as the app. My projects mainly focus on drafting the posts both visual and text. In addition to that, I am also responsible for managing brand accounts on Reddit. 2. What's your favorite part about being on the Biscuit Beacon team? My favorite part about being on the Biscuit Beacon Team is the incredible diversity among our team members, you would be able to learn more about your teammate's culture during the orientation and also get to know each other. 3. If Don Draper got your promotion… He’d run for the hills. Your big job is no Madmen fantasy, is it? You’re a top dog, but there are no impromptu afternoons off, No long extravagant lunches, Or comfy office sofas for afternoon naps. Instead, it’s open plan, or a cupboard pretending to be a private office. You’re on planes so often that you forget what home looks like. Lunch is too often at 3 PM, loaded with sugar. You barely make it to the loo twice a day. That's messed up! You’re the boss, so why are you hustling like a 20-year-old intern? More responsibilities should mean more freedom. More flexibility. Not to be a run-down version of a boss. Losing hair, gaining weight, being low in energy, and self-sacrificing. Blaming the region, your industry, impossible deadlines and insane KPIs, is just avoiding dealing. Fact is you create your reality, You could be happy in this role, Give it a shot. Take action. Be creative. Break the pattern.
