I am now available on topmate.io! In the last one year, I have connected with 10s of people on Linkedin and talked about career change, career growth, frustrations with analytics, and living remotely in the mountains. These connections with strangers have helped me stay sane during the break and motivated me to keep pushing forward. But now I am no longer on a break and the calls take away monetisable time. The Power of Belief: How One Man's Trust Transformed Datamate ! In the early days of Datamate, when our first product, Rainbow, was still new, I had a chance meeting that would change the course of our journey. It was at the MG Road office of JK Associates where I first met Renny Jacob, a forward-thinking leader who ran a stock broking firm with his brothers. Back then, our software could only handle buying and selling shares, missing the full features needed for a complete brokerage solution. In those days, it wasn't easy for different software systems to communicate with each other. We didn't have the luxury of APIs that allow applications to seamlessly exchange data like we do today. Despite our software's limitations, Mr. Renny saw something special in us. He believed in the value of a custom-built solution tailored to his firm's specific needs. Gratitude to the photographer Thulasi Kakkat for capturing this moment. It wasn't easy finding the right photo of Renny to go with this post, but I'm glad I came across this one. It was originally taken for an article in The Hindu newspaper. What really struck me was Mr. Renny's faith in my background. As a BSc Physics graduate with no commerce experience, he saw an advantage in my ability to create a solution that would be easy for anyone to use. His trust in my skills and my team was a game-changer for Datamate. Today, as we stand as a leading provider of healthcare and hospitality software solutions, I can't help but think about the foundation that Mr. Renny's support built for our success. His confidence in our team to build a strong solution that met their needs was a big boost for our growth. Mr. Renny's impact on Datamate goes beyond our partnership.
