Fund Focus: Crescent Capital Partners I first met Crescent Capital Partners during covid when Peter Scrine and I have a zoom call. My first impression was that this fund is quite unique. Peter was in a t-shirt and I am fairly certain was off for a surf after our call. It became clear pretty quickly that the fund was a no non-sense, down to earth, founder focused fund who wants to get their hands dirty and work with the founders to achieve their goals. Crescent Capital Partners was established by Michael Alscher after his stint at Bain & Company and managing Gowing Bros Limited. Arguably Australia's leading private equity healthcare investor, Crescent Capital Partners has over the last 24 years established itself as the industry go to and the one to watch. This is evident in the battle for Pacific Smiles Group with Genesis Capital where Crescent Capital Partners's backed National Dental Care became the preferred bidder entering into a Scheme Implementation Deed. If you are the founder of a healthcare focused or exposed business and are looking for private equity to work with then Crescent Capital Partners should be your first port of call. If you want to be connected with the team at Crescent Capital Partners reach out! Further Funds Details Below. Year Established: 2000 Investment Size: Targets with EV between $50m and $300m. Funds Managed: 6 Funds Raised in last 5 years: ~$3b Investments: >45 platforms and 150+ follow ons. Invisible Heart Ventures’ (IHV2) GP Christian Kingombe will be attending on Wednesday an event entitled "How fund managers drive alpha through impact", which will be focusing on the fact that "Private fund investments tend to #attract the most #attention when a #deal is first #closed, and again when an #exit is achieved and #returns are realized. But it is in the five to seven years (5-7) between those events that dedicated #assetmanagers can #createvalue – and #impact – for companies. Hence, we will join Ben Thornley of Tideline, Impact Capital Managers’ Marieke Beeuwkes Spence, Bain Capital’s Larissa Quinn, and Aaron R. of S2G Ventures in conversation with David Bank to explore the #levers for effective and #financiallymaterial #impactvaluecreation for the #benefit of our own Invisible Heart Ventures’ (IHV2) value creation processes.

SET FOR MAMMOTH GROWTH // “It’s testament to the team we have in place, and the relationships we have built, that we’re now in a position to secure investment and grow once again.” Newcastle-based health and wellbeing firm Mammoth Group is looking forward to a period of major growth after securing a six-figure investment from the North East Growth Capital Fund, through regional fund management firm NEL Fund Managers Limited and their senior portfolio executive Mark Wharton. With ambitious plans already underway to recruit new personnel and develop the infrastructure to drive growth in the UK and overseas with a new European mainland international showroom, 2024 is shaping up to be Mammoth’s best year yet. Vistara Growth today announced an initial closing at over $150m for Vistara Technology Growth Fund V LP (“Fund V”) towards its target of $400m. The closing was completed in 4 weeks from launch and was anchored by increased commitments from existing Vistara limited partners. Since inception in 2015, Vistara has raised over $500m. “Our investors clearly recognize the growing market opportunity for our differentiated investing strategy of providing flexible growth capital to technology companies, and the proven track record of delivering strong realized returns across each of our prior funds,” said Randy Garg, Founder and Managing Partner. Vistara’s differentiated strategy has a proven track record across four funds with 34 investments, 15 exits, and zero losses. With its Fund V target raise, Vistara expects to be strategically positioned to invest in 18-24 companies across North America at $10-$30m per investment. #PEInsights #privateequity #growthcapital #technology

We did a thing! It's just the beginning, but good to get noticed for what we're up to. Huge thanks to the best partner a guy could ask for - Melissa Facchina - and to the whole team at Siddhi Capital. Your expertise is what makes the best founders around want to talk to us. Your execution is what makes it work from there. To the food tech founders who didn't know we were this into CPG - coming at the tech space as the "food guy" is our unique lens. It's what guides us that what makes the food world spin is taste, price, margin structure, and scalability, not TAM or sustainability focus. Our work with CPG brands is what proves to us that brand building is JUST AS HARD as the fundamental scientific achievement happening in the food tech world. Ingredient companies - our brands are your best first customer. We invest in innovative CPG's that are big enough to move the needle for you, but small enough to not take 5 years to think about it. Again, we're just getting started, but this is a ride I'm thrilled to be on and I'm floored that so many smart people have joined us! Today you’ll see a lot of press about Siddhi Capital closing our $135MM Fund II…. I reflect on a few things as this occurs: (1) I wasn’t a classically trained investor / asset manager - I am an operator at heart. I knew I always wanted to be “an investor” but I sold myself short on being able to do so without formal education. Dream BIG because it’s always possible! (2) I attached a photo of our team retreat from Last year below. Why? Because THAT is what people are investing in… the combined expertise of investing with operating knowledge and a built in team to help solve the most complex problems. And to this team… thank you for waking up every day ready to crush it! And for your belief in where Siddhi Capital is headed! (3) I never liked the idea of partnership. I grew up in an environment where my father was a single business owner. Boy was I wrong! Marrying the power of Steven Finn and Brian Finn, with the team at Siddhi Ops proved to be a powerful partnership. Every day I’m grateful for you! (4) Investors want to invest in passion, in execution and in capability. We couldn’t be more humbled by the support of our Fund I and Fund II investor base. We bust our butts every day to make sure you win with us! Thank you for your trust. (5) I believe - strongly - in re-establishing trust between portfolio companies and their investors. As such, our approach is unique and differentiating and we’ve won the hearts of some of the greatest brands in the space. Thank you for your trust in us as investors! A total of 42 deals were reported in the first three months of 2024, the most since the fourth quarter of 2022. This included 24 traditional "control position" M&A deals, with 18 "growth equity" deals in which investors (often venture capital firms) purchase what is usually a minority ownership stake in companies that show great potential for scalability. Private equity was a large driver of M&A activity, accounting for 18 of 24 M&A transactions reported in Q1, including eight platform deals.
