I found the MIM process to be fascinating after working with a plant in Firestone, Co hiring a couple hundred employees. It was an honor to be a part of such a brilliant team. Utilizing roughly 97% of materials while integrating technological advancements to improve and streamline processes is very impressive. May you consider to move away from the carbon footprint thermodynamic effects in climate change. The truth is starting to make its own “carbon footprint” and we all know the negative effects of carbon output in our earth is dismal at best. Ever tried to replace your own Tesla windshield wiper blade that should literally take 5 minutes, but they've engineered it so that you can't find a blade at the autoparts store that fits? "Right to Repair" "Planned Obsolescence" "Circularity" - these are concepts we should understand and support companies that are taking care of their customers and our planet. Our #leaders should help protect our right to repair and there should be more accountability for what happens to obsolete products. When manufacturers make it hard or impossible to repair their products, they are putting Profits above People and Planet. They are keeping 100% of the profits while socializing all the costs of the waste products they have made. Why is that okay? "Thomas Edison’s original light bulbs still illuminate a hundred years after they were made, but that is not profitable for modern-day manufacturers. By creating bulbs with a short lifespan, you have to keep coming back for more." Our planet can't afford planned obsolescence and neither can we. We need more companies thinking about and being responsible for the #endoflife of their products. We must stop being a throw away society. Last year, my youngest son told us about a site that sells repaired North Face gear. My husband and I each bought coats from them when we moved north from Arizona. They are great coats and will likely give us many years of wear. The repairs aren't even noticeable. More of that, please. We need to pay attention and support the companies who are looking out for their customers and a livable planet.
