On this #IWD24, Monk's Hill Ventures is proud to have invested in companies with meaningful female representation in the founding teams, with a whopping 28% of companies helmed by a female CEO and 60% of companies having a female board member. This is not a box-ticking exercise - we hold both men and women to the same exacting standards and we expect the same accountability and excellence from them, just as founders should demand the same from their investors and board members. As a female founder and now female investor, I wouldn't expect anything less. At its core, we want to back simply the best teams and invest in the best people, including our colleagues. Women represent not only the majority of MHV's workforce but also 53% of our leadership. We believe the diversity of lived experiences and perspectives this brings ultimately strengthens and adds to our decision making rigor. Come talk to us and find out for yourself.

Breaking a world record isn't just about setting new benchmarks. It's a testament to shattering the glass ceiling, one that every female entrepreneur needs to hear. Imagine the realm of possibilities when we push beyond our limits. When I broke a world record, it wasn't the accolade that mattered most. It was the realization that boundaries are often just illusions, especially for women in business. This journey underscored a vital lesson for female entrepreneurs: the power of relentless perseverance. Against all odds, breaking through isn't just possible; it's necessary. It's about proving to ourselves, more than anyone else, that our ambitions have no ceiling. Let this be a call to action. To the women shaping the future of business: Dare to dream. Dare to achieve. And most importantly, dare to break your own records. Your thoughts? Have you faced a moment that redefined your limits?

All views are my own.I’m spending time considering the role and position of story in communities because I’m curious how many live in emotional poverty - an unconscious reflection of disconnect from ourselves & nature?
Ever wondered how much power your voice and language choice has in conversations? Documented historical moments can often be used to help signpost a way forward, recognise how far we’ve come, or, show just how far there is to go. I often talk about the impact of ‘everyday leadership’, how the legacy of a chosen word can change the messy and slippery process of moving forward for better change. It’s true that leadership isn’t a linear continuum more a vortex and spiral of movement and sometimes, something resonates within the tone and context of a conversation that you have that’s why leaders have to invest into understanding their conscious self.

The Power of 'Nah' The last 48 hours have been nothing short of spectacular ✨️ I've witnessed an incredible wave of women coming together, lifting each other up, and taking a stand against the injustice we've seen with the Women in Innovation Awards - by Innovate UK This, my friends, is what true female empowerment looks like—unapologetic, fierce, and absolutely unstoppable. My "Nah" t-shirt is my go to t-shirt when I feel that fire in my belly. A nod to the legendary Rosa Parks, who with one action changed the course of history—I can’t help but think about the power of words and action. Rosa’s “Nah” wasn’t just a refusal; it was a catalyst for change, a statement that echoed through time. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is simply say, “Enough.” This isn’t just about one grant or one setback. It’s about the countless women who have faced doors slammed in their faces, who’ve had to fight twice as hard for half the funding, and who’ve been told to “wait their turn” for far too long. To every woman who has shared her story, lent her support, or simply refused to stay silent: thank you. This is how we create change. This is how we make sure that the next generation of female founders won’t have to keep saying “Nah” just to get a seat at the table. Let’s keep this momentum going. Let’s keep pushing, keep speaking out, and keep supporting each other. Because together, we’re not just changing the conversation—we’re rewriting the whole narrative. And to anyone out there still underestimating what a group of determined women can do? Well, to quote Rosa Parks—Nah.
