In skateboarding, falling is inevitable. You spend most of your time on the ground, scraping your knees, banging a hip, landing on an elbow and falling on your ass, or "Eating Shit" than you do actually upright on your board. But here's the thing, skateboarders take pride in the falls, the bruises, and cuts. We take pride in Eating Shit! It's easy to get caught up in the highlight reels we see on social media, but remember that those are just the lucky shots that actually landed. The difference is that skateboarders know that failure is part of the process. A cast, bandage, or brace is a badge of honor in skating, a fashion statement even. So, my challenge to you today is to embrace the falls, the failures, the bruises, and cuts. Move through your fears, put yourself out there, take some chances, and live to tell the tale.
