With my first #internship done, I figured that it is time to reflect on this experience. Upon first glance, this internship may not have been related to my interests and desires to be involved in the #games industry. But I decided to keep an open mind and take the chance. Regardless of the outcome, I let go of the fear of expectation and performance in order to maximize this time given to me. Some key takeaways I got were this: Games and #marketing are more involved and connected than I thought. They go hand in hand in ensuring a great product for people to enjoy. Consistency is a requirement to see any kind of result. Just a little each day, even a single post, will build momentum for your goals. Nobody is going to tell you what to do all the time, and that's okay. It was a little jarring to get used to at first, but I quickly adapted to this new style of work, and find it rather enjoyable. I learned to plan out and act upon my strategies on the job. Lastly, I would like to thank Godfrey Chan for guiding me through this internship. As my boss, he was a major contributor to my learning experience here at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. I wouldn't have been able to learn these things without him.

“Long Shot for Our Students, But Worth a Try!” Not gonna lie, I usually dodge celebrity sightings like the plague (crowds! 😱😱), but met this super down-to-earth influencer yesterday while Raya shopping! Looks like we're on the same page - weekend shopping chaos is a hard pass! 😅. For Eid, he generously closed his factory and took all his employees shopping!. Who knew festive cheer could bring such a cool encounter? Anyway, two things happened: 1. Thank him for that killer award speech shoutout to education! "Finish your studies, first!" Preach! 2. I know it's a long shot, but had to ask about #internship opportunities. He gets tons of applications, but hey, gotta give them a chance, right? Plus, our Universiti Sains Malaysia EOSH students would be a great fit for his business! P/s: Never would have guessed, but we seem to be the same size! 😬 #networking #Internship

This is what we asked Yana Radulova, who was one of the young talents to take part in our 6-month internship program in 2023. The interns are guided through this professional challenge by their mentors. Yana’s mentor was Rosi Stoimenova. The two of them are a living proof that career development can and should be embarked on with a big smile. 🎙️Yana: During my internship at Philip Morris Bulgaria, I was able to improve on some useful skills that I will benefit from in my professional development. Working as part of a team and joining in different projects aimed at enhancing consumer satisfaction, providing high-quality customer care, and launching new products I not only met some incredible professionals, but found one big family as well. With every passing day I honed my communication skills, acquired business knowledge, learned how to use market research, retrieve useful information from the data and put it into practice. 🎙️Rosi: To be a mentor is a demanding, challenging and very enjoyable task. The best part about it is to see how the young talent evolves and with every passing day becomes more and more confident, self-reliant, and self-assured before your eyes. There were days when the communication with the intern taught me to be patient and other days when it reminded me of the small things in life. The interaction with Yana made me remember that we should laugh more, be open and catch a break occasionally. #inspidePMBG
