In Vienna you can find information boards while walking around in town. not only in the city centre but also in the surrounding districts. They aim isto advertise the shops but they also have historical information. Like the one I just passed in the Ottakringer Strasse in the 16th districts. It is about glasses. This is a good way of joining modern information (advertising for a nearby optician) and giving bits of historical knowledge (since when do glasses exist).
