Our AlixPartners team had a terrific experience at the PEI Operating Partners Forum. A recurring theme among operating partners was the keen interest in leveraging AI for tangible value creation within portfolio companies. PE firms are uniquely positioned to generate outsized returns with AI, as many use cases can be applied across multiple portfolio companies. During our session on AI in PE, we discussed key elements of our AI playbook for CEOs (link below) - including focusing on selecting use cases based on corporate and financial priorities, involving key executives early and often in the AI journey to drive change and ensure value creation, and adopting an end-to-end approach that goes beyond model building. We also hosted an unforgettable dinner at Artesa Winery and Vineyards, complete with a wine tasting. Connecting with operating partners on a personal level and hearing their stories was a highlight of the event.
