As the hard-to-abate sectors are increasingly turning to #hydrogen for decarbonization, so is #maritime shipping. Although interim options such as liquefied natural gas and fuel blending are currently available, widespread adoption of zero-carbon fuels is the only path to reach the latest #decarbonization targets. To facilitate market uptake, innovation in hydrogen and alternative fuels transport and storage must focus on cost reduction and addressing safety concerns. How are innovators and maritime incumbents working towards this? The workshop on 'Quality Control in Green Hydrogen: Standards & Testing Instructions' wrapped up with the 5th session, which was focused on Green Hydrogen-based Applications, led by Shri Anurag Nallapaneni from WRI, who facilitated discussions with experts from government agencies and industry. The conversations centered on various applications of Green Hydrogen, including its standards in Mobility, Steel Sector, Aviation Sector, and City Gas Distribution blending.
