🌍💧 The Essential Need for Clean Water 💧🌍 Access to clean water is not just a necessity, it's a fundamental human right. Today, over 2 billion people worldwide still lack safe drinking water, highlighting a critical global issue that impacts health, education, and economic stability. Clean water is vital for life. It supports communities by preventing disease, enabling education (especially for young girls), and fostering economic growth. When we invest in clean water infrastructure, we invest in the future of humanity. Yet, the struggle for clean water continues. Climate change, pollution, and inadequate infrastructure exacerbate this crisis. It's up to all of us – governments, businesses, and individuals – to take action. Sustainable solutions and collaborative efforts can make clean water accessible to everyone. Let's champion clean water initiatives and support organizations dedicated to this cause. Together, we can turn the tide and ensure that every person has access to this basic human need. 💙🌊 #CleanWater #SustainableDevelopment #GlobalHealth #WaterForAll https://lnkd.in/dvfYErBp

🌵 Cacto is passionate about reducing water deprivation. We are proud to support the inspiring work of Water.org 🚰 that help families around the world get access to safe water and sanitation. Prickly pears have evolved in arid climates consuming small amounts of rainwater. Approximately 42% of the world’s land area is classified as semi-arid or arid land. In fact, research, which took place in Logandale, Nevada, ‘Showed that Opuntia Ficus-indica (Prickly Pear) had high fruit production while using up to 80% less water than some traditional crops. Additionally, the plant works as a land-based carbon sink, removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to store it in a sustainable way.’ (Nevada Today, 2021). Inspired by our core ingredient and the heart of our business, we will donate 5% of our Net Profits to Water.org. to provide safe water and sanitation to families around the world. 🌍 Discover more about how we can help: https://lnkd.in/dZpJcgX

At Geeli Mitti we make sure water management is at the heart of everything we do. We also undertake eco-projects in collaboration with government and local administration such as lake restorations, groundwater recharge and water recycling systems. In the Netherlands Wilco van Rooijen and his Grohe Team Ocean prepare themselves for rowing across the mid Pacific in order to raise awareness about water availability and management. Are you aware of the fact that the world holds only 2.5% of fresh water and that there is no alternative to this resource. Already more than 40% of the world’s population live in water-stressed areas, and water demand is expected to rise 55% over the next 30 years (source: OECD). Scary statistics! Team Ocean calls for "AQUAWARENESS", how aquaware are you? https://teamocean.nl/

As you know well, environmental and community health issues are complex and too big to tackle alone. That’s why ICL supports collaborative efforts that together can solve the complex issues. Recently, our board members reflected on “the magic” that ICL brings to collaborations. From their experience with ICL, they said ICL helps collaborations get “unstuck” and have greater impact. "ICL knows how a network works. We can't do everything all at once. So, let's go understand where there's energy, and let's nurture that energy. And they are not overly prescriptive about it. They tap into the group’s potential and their sense of direction." "When I'm talking to ICL folks you end up with a lot of nodding of heads, and then you get to a resolution on things. And I think part of it is because of ICL’s non-profit background, there is that synergy. By asking the right question, the staff member drew that out. That can be hard to do. So really--it is magic." As a small nonprofit organization, we depend on people like you. Through ICL, you can help contribute to solutions for issues like climate resiliency, access to the outdoors, local food systems, and community health. Give today to have a positive ripple effect with collaborations that create environmental and community health! https://lnkd.in/g5Zp_eki #collaboration #leadership #conservation #environmentalhealth #magic #givetoday

There is no sense in arguing if any one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are more important to address than another. There are times, however, when one is exposed to an issue where the urgency to address a particular goal becomes extremely acute. Sustainable Development Goal 6 seeks to ensure access to water and sanitation for all. Safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene is fundamental for health and wellbeing including (but not limited to) improving health, enabling gender quality and increasing access to education. Water is essential and cannot be taken for granted. At the African Potential Group we fully support water.org and its efforts to unlock more funding to solve our planet’s water crisis.
