2 Years at SPARETECH 🥳🎉 Today marks my 2-year anniversary with this incredible team, and it's the perfect moment for some reflection. ✨ Amid the daily grind, it's easy to feel like you haven't achieved much, but taking a step back can reveal just how far you've come. In the last two years, I've embarked on an epic rollercoaster of learning, growth, and accomplishments. The team I helped build tested, failed, and ultimately succeeded. While some of the seeds we've sown are still growing and have yet to bear fruit, I'm confident to some more highlights will be added to the list below! Here are some of my highlights: ✅ 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝘅2: We didn't settle for the ordinary; we reworked our website not once, but twice, to ensure it reflects our evolving story and converts. ✉️ 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 & 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿: Communication is key, and we added a newsletter to keep our partners and customers in the loop, sharing the latest insights and updates. 🌐 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲-𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: We didn't just talk; we walked the talk by creating a series of events, including webinars, summits, and customer roundtables, to provide real value to our community. 📚 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲: We built a content engine that keeps churning out valuable resources and insights, making sure our audience stays engaged and informed. 📊 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: With a focus on getting more transparency into our data, we've empowered ourselves with better insights to drive decision-making. And there's more! As the new guy, I did nothing to contribute to this honor, but it sure is exciting to join an organization with this type of momentum! Grateful to celebrate my 4-year work anniversary here at Evotix🥳! I clock up nearly 8 years in SaaS sales now across a range of roles; from starting out as a BDR/Internal Executive, then to field sales/BDM, and since then in BDR leadership and RevOps/Enablement. To look back on these years and the different roles, here are my 10 key takeaways: 1. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Networking is one of the most valuable things you can do, it’s not only helped me generate lots of revenue but I’ve learned a lot from people too. 2. Read, read and read some more. Every role I’ve been in I’ve researched who’s been in my shoes before and if they could do it all again, what would they do differently. 3. Be willing to ask for and accept feedback, it will only make you better personally and professionally. Even though sometimes it’s not always what you want to hear. 4. Being a leader is all about empowering your team and colleagues to be the best they can be, and supporting them to get there. 5. The role of BDR is the toughest gig there is but it’s the best start to a career you can have and I’m constantly using those skills I learnt in the early days now. 6. Don’t be afraid to fight for what you deserve, and be confident to speak up in times where it’s necessary to be heard. 7. Feeling uncomfortable is an opportunity to better yourself, and you’ll be so glad you did it afterwards. 8. Times will get tough and sales is a rollercoaster of emotions but it’s the best ride there is! 9. Find a good mentor and keep them, someone you can be honest with and bounce ideas off who isn’t your boss is the best feedback you can get. 10. Trust the process and believe in yourself. If you are showing up everyday and giving your best; it will all fall into place. 🙏🏼 What would your key takeaways be? As we step into the last working week of the year, I find myself reflecting on a year that was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From overcoming personal challenges to celebrating significant achievements at COMPUTD, 2023 has been a year of resilience, growth, and triumphs. 🔥 Overcoming Adversity This year started on a challenging note. With layoffs, my restaurant business in Hungary facing closure, and changes within COMPUTD, it felt like a test of endurance. However, these challenges only strengthened my resolve. I learned the power of perseverance and the importance of taking one step at a time. I am deeply grateful for these lessons, as they have shaped me into a stronger leader and individual. On another personal note, I am in awe of my wife, Audrey Ignéczi, and her strength in overcoming her layoff, and becoming an awesome Product Owner at Coolblue! Her resilience and skills as a product owner are truly inspiring. Audrey, you are a testament to strength and capability, and I could not have succeeded this well this year without your support! 📈 Doubling in Size at COMPUTD This year has been monumental for us at COMPUTD. We've doubled in size, a clear indicator of our growing impact and success in the field of AI and data science. This expansion is not just in numbers but also in the diversity of projects and depth of expertise. I am incredibly proud of how our team has adapted, evolved, and maintained the highest standards of innovation and collaboration. 🏆 Celebrating Success Among the challenges, there were incredible highs. Winning the Brilliant Business Westelijke Mijnstreek Business Award with Pieter Schaap was a dream come true, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our amazing team. The continued partnership with Mercedes, and the enthusiasm around our upcoming WAISTD product, are milestones that fill me with immense pride. 🔮 Looking Ahead As we gear up for 2024, I am filled with hope and ambition. With exciting plans for COMPUTD and a team that’s stronger than ever, the future looks bright. I’m celebrating my 20th anniversary with Discovery Limited today! 🥂 People often raise an eyebrow when I mention that I’ve been here for two decades. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s becoming rare to find this tenure, and, someone still so happy! 😉 Honestly, it’s been an incredible journey, and a testament to Discovery’s purpose and people. I was lucky, at a young age to join a big organisation driven by a core purpose, and that lives and breathes its cultures and values.
