I help Fractional CFOs start and scale their firms.

Most people hate sales because it: - Triggers insecurities - Revolves around the exchange of money - Reminds us of bad sales experiences we have had in the past - What others say about sales & sales people The reality is sales (when done as a collaboration): - Helps your business grow - Increases your impact on the people you serve - Gives you a clearer picture of your clients' challenges and how you can help solve them

Michael King You can't have a business without sales and salespeople. When I started my first job as a CFO I resented the salespeople because they were making so much money. Then I started my own business and realized that sales can be hard! I gained a new respect for the job that a salesperson does.

Michael King I find that when people reframe sales it helps. Stop thinking about it as sales and start thinking about it as an opportunity to get to know people, learn about their companies, and find ways to help make lives easier. When you break down sales, that's what it truly is, a conversation.

Sales is a change process and, as such, appears uncomfortable. But the benefits and added value the client/customer gets from that change surpasses the status quo.

Michael King you're completely right about sales. When approached as a collaborative effort, it not only fuels business growth but also deepens our understanding of client needs, allowing us to make a meaningful impact.
