What does a publicist do? Well, a lot of standing around looking like he should be working. With police protection of course. But I am working here - falling in love with my new production Virdee for the BBC and Magical Society. An amazing production filming in the incredible, gothic, vibrant city of Bradford. Observing filming, meeting the cast and fantastic crew and bringing journalists to enjoy the excitement of being close to the action is a pleasure I’ve had for almost 30 years now. This show feels special though. An electric cast who are all about to become big, big stars on our screens next year. Guaranteed. And thanks to photographer Vishal Sharma for capturing me unaware whilst guns and screeching cars tyres filled the streets yesterday.

Having supported the BFI’s Flare Film Festival and the main London Film Festival over the last few years, I’m so happy to see Thomson & Scott NOUGHTY’s reach now expand to the Brooklyn Film Festival! Film festivals need great non-alcoholic options to keep audiences engaged who want to also balance their alcohol intake. So should your local cinemas. Ask them what their alternative to alcoholic wine is at present and why the offerings are not as good as they could be. And why they’re sugar-laden.
