Hey everyone! If anyone with the Olostep or LunchBox track has a spot in their hackathon team, I'd love to join! My teammates are busy this weekend so I'm left without a team for this hackathon. Here's my experience: I'm good with frontend, in React, Express, TypeScript, NextJS and I've worked with Tailwind etc. For backend, I've worked with MERN (mongo, express, react, node) multiple times even before this fellowship so I've experience with Nodejs and MongoDB! Update from Innomatics Research Labs. I have just completed our latest project: a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system that answers questions on "Leave No Context Behind," a paper published by Google. This system harnesses the power of LLMs with external data for more dynamic applications. Built with Streamlit, powered by LangChain and Google Gemini, our RAG system bridges the gap by retrieving specific information from external documents often locked away in documents. Special thanks to our mentor Kanav Bansal for his guidance throughout this internship. I recently attended 3 fantastic tech events in Tel Aviv, which, expectedly, hinged in many ways on Generative AI and it's (many) applications in our daily professional and private lives. Now, while I'm still enjoying the hype & buzz, I feel compelled to say: AI is not coming for Your job. I'll go out on a limb and say we will see a one-woman/man unicorn startup "relying 100% on AI", before AI makes a complete modern profession obsolete. But I'm always happy to be proven wrong. That's how I learn faster. My reasoning is straightforward and simple. AI can NEVER understand the delicate ingredients that go into the "secret sauce" of a great idea or product, namely: A pinch of humor, a quart of timing, a hint of humanity, and just a dash of charm. and of course, the famous marketing motto: "If an idea or a product you put out in the world doesn't slightly embarrass You, You've waited too long with it." AI doesn't feel embarrassed even if it sometimes generates foolish and inaccurate things with way too much confidence. For now at least, it just doesn't learn like we do. I like to look at it as sweet and eager unpaid summer intern with nearly zero applicable real-world know-how. But Google Gemini , Co-pilot (Microsoft), ChatGPT, and others are making incredible progress every quarter it seems. So I'm already looking forward to the next great events and panels by lool ventures, Google for Startups Israel, Google Cloud, Cardumen Capital and Google and continuing to share ideas about AI's potential with an eager audience of colleagues. As per the AI Product/Service Ideation task, I have come up with an AI-DRIVEN PERSONAL FINANCIAL ADVISOR FOR SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENTS where Machine Learning and Data Science will be applied to empower users to align their financial goals with responsible and impactful investment choices. There is a growing interest in sustainable investments and the demand for personalized financial advice is increasing. Noting the challenges that individuals face in understanding sustainable finance, ESG criteria, and aligning their investments with responsible choices, I have come up with this idea. The product leverages cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning algorithms and ESG data analysis, to provide users with personalized financial advice aligned with sustainable and ethical investment principles. The integration of ESG criteria ensures that users can make informed decisions that not only meet their financial objectives but also contribute to environmental, social, and governance considerations.
