NEOLIBERALISM AND URBAN AND TERRITORIAL TRANSFORMATION   The editions of the Olympic Games generated an important urban transformation, which allows for a new critical perspective on the new urban dimension of the Games, especially in the construction of the three main physical built elements: the athletics stadium, the swimming pool facilities and, above all, the "Olympic Village". The analysis identifies the different subsequent uses of the Olympic Villages after the Games are over. The project involves a multi- and interdisciplinary methodology which, through a critical analysis approach, aims to develop an innovative analysis of Olympic urbanism in general and the Olympic Villages in particular. To establish and consolidate the field of study represented by Olympic urbanism as a useful tool for the future construction of new Olympic Villages in the coming decades. In recent years, the Olympic legacy and the planning of the Olympic legacy have become increasingly important in the choice of host cities. This has enabled many cities, such as London, Sydney and Tokyo, to develop a post-Olympic legacy planning and management entity. In addition, sustainability and planning have become two key elements of Olympic success. The intangible possibility to train and involve new profiles in the territory is essential to be able to manage the Olympic structures in the post-Olympic period. Starting from the contributions made by: (Kaspar 1998; Furrer, 2002; Cashman and Hughes, 1998; Bondonio, Guala, Mela, 2008; Crivello, Dansero, Mela, 2006; Dansero and Mela, 2012; Guala and Crivello, 2006; Leopkey, 2012), on event-related issues. On the other hand, the analysis of the dependency between the Olympic event and heritage, the research will be based on the contributions of Preuss (2010; 2019) who has opened a fundamental stage in the consideration of the impact and heritage linked to the Olympic Games. Therefore, the Olympic event will be a key element for the planning of regional infrastructures, transport system, services and housing in regional areas. The Olympic Village is strategically located in the Seine-Saint-Denis department, which is in the northeastern suburbs of Paris. Specifically, it is being built in the areas of Saint-Denis, Saint-Ouen, and Île-Saint-Denis. This location provides easy access to many of the key Olympic venues, including the Stade de France, which will host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as various athletic events. The choice of this location not only ensures logistical convenience but also aims to promote urban regeneration in a historically underserved area, leaving a positive legacy for the local community long after the games have concluded. In addition to its primary function during the Olympics, the village is designed with a long-term vision in mind. Post-games, the residential buildings will be repurposed into a mix of housing options, including affordable housing, student accommodations, and office spaces. This transformation is part of a broader urban development plan to enhance the living conditions and economic opportunities in the Seine-Saint-Denis area. Thus, the Olympic Village is more than just a temporary lodging for athletes; it is a catalyst for lasting positive change in Paris.
