🎉 I am thrilled to announce that our article has been accepted for publication in the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics! 📚 The paper explores the potential of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and the challenges in leveraging the vast amount of information they contain. Our proposed solution, MedTKG, is a Temporal Knowledge Graph (TKG) framework that incorporates both the dynamic information of patient clinical histories and the static information of medical ontologies. A new paper from Public Health Informatics, Computational, and Operations Research (PHICOR) quantifies the health and economic impact of removing youth physical activity disparities across different socioeconomic groups in the US. Published in JAMA Health Forum, "Health and Economic Value of Eliminating Socioeconomic Disparities in US Youth Physical Activity," shows if socioeconomic disparities in youth’s physical activity levels across the US were removed, society could save over $15 billion in direct medical costs and productivity losses.
