NPST recently attended the Technoviti Conference – The Digital Continuum. At the Future of Payments panel, Deepak Chand Thakur, Co-Founder and CEO of NPST, addressed the complexities inherent in the payments system and advocated for embedded payments and greater bank collaboration. Frontend simplicity, backend complexity: Customers enjoy unified payment services, but behind the scenes, different systems handle transaction processing, fraud management, dispute resolution, and reconciliation. This fragmentation results in redundancies, inefficiencies, and higher operational costs. Integration imperative: There is a clear need to have an integrated approach. Consolidating them can simplify the payment process for merchants, leading to substantial cost savings and enhanced operational efficiency on a larger scale. Embedded payments: It is crucial to integrate payments seamlessly into the customer’s journey rather than treating them as standalone entities. This integration improves overall customer satisfaction and engagement by aligning payment processes with user expectations. Collaborative innovation: While banks own payment systems, Fintech companies drive significant innovation in payment technologies due to their agility. Collaboration between banks and Fintechs can accelerate innovation, shaping the future of the payments ecosystem. This strategy optimizes the challenge of capturing MTF liquidity using pragmatic delay logic, accounting for the speed of light between Stockholm and away markets (e.g., Amsterdam for CEUX). Verified by our use of industry-leading TCA/BestExec reports from LiquidMetrix, this new strategy also increases the chances of midspread executions in Darkpool using the new DarkLitSweep order type, which pings Nordic@Mid before moving to the primary order book with minimal latency. Thinking a seamless cashlite economy !!! 🤔 So a time will soon come when, upon withdrawing cash over the counter at the bank, the teller wont dispense cash but will just pay or credit you instantly on your e-account i.e MOMO, Vodafone cash, zee pay etc. 🤔 Perhaps banks can start this now as a cash management tool 🤔🤔🤔.
