Founder of Accepted, the premier admissions consultancy for MBA, medical school, law school, grad school, & college. Speaker. Host of Admissions Straight Talk podcast and podcast guest.
The Senior Director of Admissions 3 MD programs at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Christian Essman gave a wonderful interview and the clip below is just a sample. However, I'd advise all #Gradschool applicants to listen to this #interview tip. When you go into an interview, be prepared to bring examples and stories that have occurred since your applied or that aren't already in your application. This is critical if your interview is with someone who has read your application (non-blind). I would say that if your interview is "blind" (the interviewer has only seen your resume, not your app.) it is less critical. However, it still could be wise to mix the examples you gave in your app -- which presumably were your best ones when you submitted with recent achievements and experiences. Doing so shows you as a growing human being. What do you think? Should applicants stick to tried and true stories from their apps or mix in new experiences even if the interview is blind? #Premeds for more great tips, listen to the entire interview at https://lnkd.in/gm-h39YY Petia Whitmore Candy Lee La Balle Barbara Coward Dr. Marlena Corcoran Krithika Srinivasan Nupur Gupta Eric Lucrezia Farrell Nelson Andrea Sparrey Travis Morgan Soojin Kwon Peter Johnson Hillary Schubach Kara Keenan Sweeney Dr. Sundas Ali Esmeralda Cardenal Kelly R. "It’s hard to imagine a more complicated issue to speak on than the one that presidents are facing today, than this conflict in Israel, because there’s sort of the immediate that has happened, which is horrific, but it’s happening in the context of a long history."
