THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER I recall my time as a paid employee, I loved architecture & project management, I was really excited about what I did at work. Guess what ? I was given more work at the office. I took on lots of new and challenging projects. One day we had a project at Shell in PortHarcourt, I was asked to attend the meeting, meaning I had to travel out of town and I wasn't ready. Initially I was a bit upset because I realized I was the only one doing most of the out of station trips outside Lagos in the office. Well I finally travelled to Port Harcourt, got picked up by Shell Vehicle, headed over to Shell and handled the site meeting for the Shell hanger project. I returned back safely to my family after the trip. I was happy I made the trip finally. I realised then that My boss was building my capacity. - I gained more experience as I tackled several project challenges. 😊 - I grew my network moving from one site and location to another. 😊 - God kept me safe on all my trips 😊 In all these i learnt and practised the following: - I Embrace Challenges - I Take Initiative - I Learn from my Experiences - I Build a Network - I Practise Gratitude/ Positive Outlook - I Trust in God. - I Reflect on Growth I am grateful for the training, experiences and exposure. If you are going through such an experience now, stay on and follow through. It will all end up for your good. Well then it wasn't funny ooo.😊 #Architectural #Planning #projectmanagement #projectmanagement #projectplanning #projectleadership #projectdelivery
