Ashneer Grover plans to take another plunge into the fintech sector with his new venture. Grover has joined forces with Aseem Ghavri to float a new lending tech startup called ZeroPe. This is Ashneer Grover’s second venture under the banner of his company Third Unicorn, which also launched the fantasy cricket app CrickPe last year. As per ZeroPe’s website, the new platform will offer medical loans up to INR 5 Lakh to end customers, which can only be availed at the company’s partner hospitals. The startup has tied up with Delhi-based non-banking financial company (NBFC) Mukut Finvest to roll out the new offering. The focus should be on cashless insurance and mediclaim. Not another high interest loan for the ones who are already vulnerable.

Though health insurance is at place ! However this is a great lending platform to folks who don't have health insurance as in India still many don't have. My worry is onboarding patients to this platform who would get drop off, I am sure there would have been a criteria to build where applications would also get rejected. How are you going to cover those patients lives and their treatment???? Is it going to be hard to stop! For such patients?..... How are we going to save those lives......Or they will be left untreated who falls under AE's and SAE's tier..... At this platform rejection of cases is not patients lives and their treatment also we would be rejecting hopes!!!!

A lot depends on the ineterst rate chargeable. The terms of grant. On the flip side, it may benefit emergency payments in times of utmost need in the absence of a mediclaim.

Waiting for another disruption in fintech

I was just going through all the reviews on playstore and was amazed to know that to avoid getting frauds on fake medical fakes, the APP is checking the CIBIL score of an individual. If CIBIL is bad, a person can't proceed further and this idea will surely work... Ashneer Grover Congratulations on your new venture 🎉
