Trends in #healthcare central to current market disruption and its future state include: 1. Current workforce #s have been decreasing over the past decade at least - COVID was only one accelerant. 2. The rate of those leaving workforce (many factors at play) suggest this and other negative workforce trends in health care will continue to result in shortages. 3. Alternative sources of workforce such as "paraprofessionals" and "technology-augmented" non-medical workforces along with A.I. can help fill current and future gaps and are therefore likely responses to current and future medical workforce shortages. Not a question of if but rather when and how. 4. Therefore, keep your eyes on companies that have figured out how to utilize alternative workforces (through M&A or direct service agreements) for service delivery and the models used to facilitate this work. Kairos Policy Group has an article explaining these dynamics further, and projects ahead to the types of things you might see soon coming down the pike in health care. https://lnkd.in/emBja4qQ Jim Bialick
