Associate Product Guide @ Organo Rurban Living | Expertise @ Power Systems & Technical Operations #Rurban #Sustainable #Living #Ecohabitats #SapthaPatha #Celebrations
Reflections on my Commute 🛣️ As I drove home today, I captured a poignant snapshot of a vehicle transporting individuals to the city. It resonated deeply with the complex narrative of farmers migrating for livelihoods, skilled individuals seeking opportunities, and people embarking on a journey of employment. This image serves as a powerful reminder of the dynamic shifts in our society. It echoes the very ethos of Organo Eco Habitats, an organization committed to creating impactful change. At Organo, we believe in #Sapthapatha where we measure, particularly the #people #strand is empowering local people providing them with opportunities, and upskilling them for diverse roles within our community like training in Farming, Housekeeping, Cooking, Animal Husbandary, Electrical and Plumbing, Security, Landscaping and Estate administration. Our outreach and social impact initiatives focus on transforming lives by offering employment avenues beyond traditional farming. Every local employee is a testament to the potential within our community, contributing not only to their own growth but also to the collective progress of our society. Together, let's pave a road of inclusive transformation, where each journey symbolizes hope, opportunity, and a brighter future. Editorial: https://lnkd.in/gSywt5ww We are also looking for New hires of various roles at our projects, reach out to us on [email protected] if you know anyone who might be interested and passionate about. #socialimpact #communityempowerment #localemployment #transformativejourney #Organo #Rurban #communes #sapthapatha #peoplestrand #capabilitybuilding

This week, we got into the first focus session for the 2024 Living Future Institute of Australia Accreditation + Regional Intensive Course! Co-facilitators Samantha, Laura & Stephen got to meet another awesome cohort of participants and explore the ‘Place’ and ‘Beauty’ Petals of the Living Building Challenge. These are two of Sam’s favourite categories, which require teams to consider fun (and important) things like; regenerating ecologies of place, protecting land for species other than humans, integrating biophilic design, and educating and inspiring others. 🌱 Do you have a favourite Living Building Challenge Petal? #Done #ProjectPlanningandDelivery #RegenerativePractice #ProjectManagement #Connection #Community #Collaboration #LivingBuildingChallenge

Visiting the coral institute never fails to lift my spirits. It's a place where our passion for luxury living seamlessly intersects with our commitment to environmental conservation. At the heart of this institute lies our coral nursery, where a dedicated team of experts work meticulously to cultivate the very corals that will one day transform the waters around our Floating Seahorse Villas into a vibrant, thriving ecosystem. Each piece of coral in this nursery has a unique story of resilience and second chances. Some were rescued from areas threatened by construction, while others were given a new lease on life after suffering damage or bleaching, now on a journey of healing and regeneration within our care. It's not just about creating a stunning view for our residents; it's about actively contributing to the preservation and growth of these delicate underwater ecosystems. This is the kind of meaningful work that drives me and my team forward. At the institute, we have the capacity to grow around 5,000 corals in a year, but we're not content to stop there. Our goal is to increase that capacity to 50,000 a year, because we know that every coral we grow has the potential to make a meaningful difference.

As a Business Development Manager in the animal health industry, I understand the unique challenges of managing time effectively while working in the field. Balancing client meetings, industry events, and business development initiatives requires a strategic approach to maximize productivity and drive meaningful impact. Here are a few time management things I have found invaluable: 1. PRIORITIZE WITH PURPOSE: Identifying high-impact tasks and prioritizing them is crucial. By focusing on activities that align with strategic goals and offer the greatest potential for impact, I ensure that my time is well-spent and contributes to long-term success. 2. STRATEGIC NETWORKING: While in the field, networking opportunities abound. I prioritize networking with intention, seeking out connections that align with my professional objectives and contribute to meaningful relationships within the industry. 3. FLEXIBILITY AND ADAPTABILITY: Field work often presents unexpected challenges and opportunities. Remaining flexible and adaptable allows me to pivot effectively, ensuring that I can address urgent needs while staying focused on long-term objectives. 4. SELF-CARE AND WELLBEING: Managing time effectively requires a balance between work and personal wellbeing. I prioritize self-care to maintain energy and focus, ensuring that I can bring my best self to every interaction and initiative. By embracing these time management strategies, I am able to drive productivity and impact in the field while maintaining a focused and purposeful approach to my work. How do you manage time effectively in your field work? I'd love to hear your insights and strategies! #TimeManagement #Productivity #FieldWork #AnimalHealth #BusinessDevelopment"

It's been busy but I've also been quiet about what I've been doing these past couple of years - sometimes what's going on is under the surface. Here in NZ/Aotearoa, we're doing a bit of soul searching about how to fix our health and safety system at work (and work includes on the road, too, as a traveller or as a road worker...). I'm part of an awesome little collective, we've been working away to help shape what we should do, what we can do, to make things better. Quite a lot of it can't be easily shared, but we do have some resources on our website: FutureSafe Aotearoa. https://lnkd.in/gqPDqkgh It's been great to work with teams such as CHASNZ https://chasnz.org/ , ShopCare https://lnkd.in/gvWErmr, Safer Farms https://lnkd.in/g2_H37qz, Waka Kotahi, ACC, TRMA https://www.trma.co.nz/, HASANZ https://www.hasanz.org.nz/ and many others - awesome people "doing the mahi"... Change is hard, it's complex, it's demanding, it gives energy, it needs energy and resilience. Above all it needs collaboration. Let's keep plugging away at it...

This week, for Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) #CoProWeek, we’ve been publishing a series of blogs on our website from people pushing for change. One of these is from Susan Eagle, a commissioning team manager at Sandwell Council who describes her work to help shape the council’s approach to co-production. She writes: "I set about asking staff what their knowledge of co-production was, and as expected, many were confident in describing the concept but explained the barriers in embedding this approach within their work and teams consistently. What seemed a relatively simple task - write a plan - seemed contradictory for this topic. It didn’t feel right to look at the plethora of a guidance on co-production and write a plan in isolation. Colleagues and I also discussed the varying levels of working with people, why we should and, of course, when is it appropriate to co-produce, especially in budget controlled and timebound environments. Help was required if I wanted to really promote co-production and win hearts and minds to do this properly. The ADASS West Midland’s Co-production group accepted my request to join - thankfully! I listened attentively to the models in place – they all sounded great but had been embedded over years with dedicated leads, boards, and resources. I knew I had to start at a place that was right for Sandwell to enable a co-productive culture to grow. Over the last year we have launched our plan following endorsement from the Health and Wellbeing Board. A wider partnership team made up of internal and external agencies, including adults, children and young people agreed on the need for more information, standards and support in the form of a Charter. The charter has been co-produced by professionals across our ‘place’, council partners, health, young people and residents. It sets out definitions, models and when to use #coproduction or seek another way of engaging people to build good practice. The council's senior leadership team have endorsed the Charter corporately and asked all directorates ‘how can you involve the people you support to test, improve or change support/service?’ You can find Susan’s full account via our website (link in comments)

ATTENTION: Change of the date/timing (now the event will take place on March 18, at 3 p.m.) Would a four-day work week in the non-profit sector work? This question has been the topic of much debate lately. While many companies have succeeded with a condensed workweek and enjoyed benefits such as increased productivity and more time to pursue personal interests and goals, a four-day schedule does not work for all industries, businesses, or individuals. But what about civil society organizations in Europe? Could a four-day work week benefit them? This is a question that deserves further exploration. Register for the Protection Learning Series on Monday, March 18, at 3 pm CET. This online space is designed to provide inspiration and support to those working in the human rights and civic space organisations in Europe and beyond. Join the conversation and gain valuable insights into how you can make the most of your time while still achieving your professional goals. If you are a leader - hear from your peers on their own experience with the four day working week. Register now for the Protection Learning Series and take the first step toward a more productive and fulfilling career in civil society.
