When using GenAI for creative product innovation, a task involving ideation and content creation, around 90% of the participants generally improved their performance. However, when used on tasks for business problem solving, the performance was 23% lower than that of the group who did not use GenAI. Hence: When GenAI is used correctly and for the right tasks, its capabilities are so precise that human efforts to improve the quality of its output can lower the results.
