Employee. Colleague. Parent. Spouse. Friend. Child. We (including our colleagues and employees) hold many roles in life and often, work and personal life intertwine. There will be days where a fight with a loved one will affect work productivity. There will also be days where the stress from work will follow back home. In times like this, what can leaders and managers do? Hint: You don’t have to shoulder this responsibility. More than 3.7 million people turn to Intellect and the services we provide to feel assured, supported, better. We’ve gotten such overwhelmingly positive feedback from our recent user survey and are so thankful for that. Leaders, you can make this real change in your workplace too. "Compared with people at low-trust companies, people at high-trust companies report: 74% less stress, 106% more energy at work,50% higher productivity, 13% fewer sick days, 76% more engagement, 29% more satisfaction with their lives, 40% less burnout." A great article from the Harvard Business Review archives on the value of trust in organizations from Paul Zak. It highlights not only the value of high #trust companies, but also 8 tangible steps for creating a #culture of trust. My favorites: Induce "challenge stress" (set difficult but achievable goals), Give people discretion in how they do their work, and Show vulnerability. Which ones resonate with you? Set a target, get out of people's way, and ask for help rather than telling them what to do. Seems simple - so why do companies not adopt these practices more broadly? Dive into the article to see the rest of Professor Zak's insightful steps for building a high trust #workplace, and let me know what you think! #work #management #leadership #manager #leader #team #trust #HighTrust #culture #CultureOfTrust #CultureOfCare #burnout #productivity #engagement #satisfaction #stress #balance #WorkLifeBalance

We empower manufacturing leaders to cultivate a reliable, productive, and inclusive workforce. Our approach reduces turnover, boosts productivity, and cuts costs, allowing leadership to focus on core tasks.
PEOPLE PROBLEMS vs. PEOPLE OPPORTUNITIES! The Workplace is your community too...with all of the messiness that goes with it. It's difficult to think of the place where you work as part of your community. You try avoiding it. You try not to bring work home. You try to keep your work world and your other world as far apart as possible. The two should never mix. However, although you don't want it to be, your workplace IS community...too. Workplace leaders often find it difficult to lead through the messiness that accompanies this community. Management school didn't prepare them...didn't teach them the skills to navigate the unpredictability, the messiness, the chaos that come along with "people problems." The inability of managers being able to navigate the people terrain is one reason that many employee surveys show that employees confidence and trust in their managers has plummeted contributing to employees dissatisfaction in the workplace. Leaders, managers, and supervisors! DON'T run away, DON'T fear the un-comfortable, the unpredictable, the messiness of "people problems." Lean into the storm, learn new people skills - skills of empathy, and turn "People Problems" into "People Opportunities." Community is messy...but its worth it! #Leadership #workplaceculture #workplaceinclusion

🔍 Reflecting on Workplace Dynamics 🔍 Hello LinkedIn network, I’ve noticed a concerning trend in some organizations. Employees often give their best, day in and day out, yet when they face a single slower day, it seems their past efforts are quickly forgotten. On these days, the pressure from employers intensifies, overshadowing their previous achievements. 😔 It’s crucial for employers to understand that work performance naturally fluctuates. Some days are phenomenally productive, and others might be less so – no two days are exactly the same. 🔄 Recognizing and accepting the ebb and flow of productivity can lead to a more supportive and understanding workplace environment. Let’s strive for empathy and support rather than pressure. 🤗 #WorkplaceCulture #Leadership #HumanResources

As a manager and leader, it's essential to ensure your team feels motivated and connected to their work, enabling them to perform at their peak. Regrettably, only 30% of employees strongly agreed that their opinions counted at work (Gallup Research). Numerous employees perceive their workplace as lacking psychological safety. Psychological safety involves team members feeling confident enough to voice concerns, take risks, and share ideas without facing repercussions or criticism. This fact is supported by the research of Professor Amy C. Edmondson from Harvard Business School. In her book” The Fearless Organization: Creating Psychological Safety in the Workplace for Learning, Innovation, and Growth," she emphasizes the importance of psychological safety for leaders in fostering an environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas, and taking risks without fear of retribution or embarrassment. When leaders foster psychological safety at work, it leads to: 👉 Enhanced employee wellbeing and mental health. 👉 Increased employee engagement and productivity. 👉 Stimulated creativity and innovation. decreased sickness rates and employee turnover. As we kick off the new year, let's champion psychological safety in our workplaces! Building a culture where trust, respect, and open dialogue are the norm sets the stage for success and growth. The result? Elevated wellbeing, heightened productivity, and a resilient workforce. "The fear of being judged...is the death of creativity." Amy Poehler.
