General Manager - Innisfil SC I Assistant Coach/Performance Analyst/Scout at Jamaican Football Federation | NWSL SCOUT - Gotham FC. Early adaptor of AI Technology and its application to the "Beautiful Game"
Took in #NCAA National Champions Syracuse v NC State (1-1) on weekend and particularly liked a pattern of central attacking play initiated by Syracuse FBs that ...if more precise...could have caused more scoring opportunities. Set against a Mid/Low Block of NC State, Syracuse used the wide areas the majority of the Match but at times, when switching around the back in a midfield build-up phase, their FBs would drive inside and link a diagonal with their #8...between the lines....at same time the adjacent #10 would draw out NC State's CB and look for run in in behind. These two examples show the movement. The body shape & 1st touch pass from the #8 and movement/timing of the #10 is so important for this pattern to be effective. #collegescouting #NCAA #NationalChampions

🚨 BREAKING NEWS IN COLLEGE SPORTS 🚨 The Atlantic Coast Conference has voted to add Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, and Southern Methodist University - effective for the 2024-25 academic year. This will bring the conference's membership to 17 full-time members + Notre Dame's quasi-membership in football. To approve the additions, the conference needed 12 of its 15 member institutions to vote in favor, and that is exactly what occurred. Notably, Clemson University, Florida State University, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill voted against the expansion. According to reports, North Carolina State University was the swing vote and flipped at the last minute to add the three new universities. A significant portion of what "sweetened the pot" for the current ACC members was the discount that the new additions would come with. Surprisingly, SMU agreed to receive no broadcast media revenue for its first nine years in the conference, while Stanford and Cal will receive a 30% share of annual payouts. #SportsBiz #collegesports #athletics #sports #football #basketball #baseball #softball #soccer #tennis #golf #volleyball #trackandfield #academia #college #university #linkedinsports Via https://lnkd.in/gqY5gGik
