I BOASTED ABOUT IT AND… It would only be fair to tell you how it went😊 It was absolutely AMAZING, at least for me. First I feared nobody would come since it was the closing day of the Conference. Then I hoped nobody would come as I was getting cold feet. However, some people I admire promised to be there, so I rehearsed everything several times in my hotel room. My best friend didn’t get the idea at once, so I had to think quickly of how to explain a few things more clearly. On the day of the workshop I attended Lucy Holmes’ interesting talk, hurried to Room 3, quickly tried the PPP when suddenly it startes filling with people and this gave me additional motivation. In a nutshell, it all went really well, apart from some fumbling with the presentation pointer, I managed to finish in 45 minutes, had everyone’s attention and participation, and answered a few questions at the end. Some colleagues approached me afterwards with very generous feedback, including Debbie West, Marjorie R. and Evan Frendo. Stuart Haynes even mentioned the workshop in his LI post. The takeaway: well-done me, I say YES to future conferences! The STATS are in 📊🕵️♂️ It’s crazy to believe it has already been nearly 2 weeks since we wrapped our 7th annual series of YLAA events. We had TEN THOUSAND young people and 670 SCHOOLS pass through the 2024 event series and we are incredibly proud of the results. ⚡️ 91.41% of student felt more adequately prepared for the future after attending. ⚡️90.93% of students felt more confident to lead their schools after attending. And whilst students are our priority we are also incredibly invested in ensuring we are delivering a program that meets the expectations and objectives of the schools attendance. So what did the educators in the room have to say? 📈 96.18% of educators feel more confident in their students ability to lead their school after attending. 📈 98.09% of educators feel that the content presented at the event from the speakers was valuable to their students. Both of these stats have seen a 6-8% growth in the last 12 months as we worked incredibly hard to understand how we can support each stakeholder of the event in their own way. This year multiple events sold out (some even in term 4 2023!) - as planning for 2025 is well underway AND we have officially open PRE REGISTRATION FOR 2025 ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gBznME4X
