I am actively looking for a new role as a Product Designer, but why shouldn't I wear a smile despite the challenges? 😃 😊
Honestly, it's very difficult for most job seekers to keep a smile, not because there's no glimpse of hope in getting a new job, but because the burnout, consistent rejections, and the unanswered question of "God when?" make it difficult to keep that smile.
It is hard, I get it. Sadly, no one has to go through this. We can't solely rely on these challenges forgetting who we are as a person. Wearing that smile alone gives that hope, making you relieved more that something great is coming.
Here's how I can get myself sane and smile regardless, and I hope it helps someone out there navigating the challenging market;
⭐ - Spend a part of your time doing something else outside job hunting. Something that makes you happy. Could be playing games, sewing, taking a walk, or even taking a course if you plan on upskilling, and a lot more. If you have difficulties finding one, in the world of today, make AI your friend and ask questions
⭐ - Talk to someone. Sometimes, you need someone to make you feel better and constantly remind you that you aren't alone. It could be a fellow job seeker, or a family or rather a good close friend. Don't bottle those feelings all alone.
⭐ - The key to every great career, is to constantly create meaningful connections. Network with people, and reach out for guidance, insights, or leads for a role or opportunity. The best way to get something is never to stop pushing for it. Networking and Connection are the keys to a successful hire - even 10 times faster than the norms.
⭐ - Lastly, never leave God out of anything. As you click send on that email, DM, or job application, say a word of prayer, and with that, ease your mind and go do something else.
With this being put out here, I hope this helps someone out there looking for something exciting.
