In continuation of our “Meet the NewGen” campaign, we met with Ibrahim Afridi from Greenova8. We asked him about his dreams, aspirations and his growth plan for the upcoming future. “Our dream is to make renewable energy investments accessible to everyone, while empowering individuals to contribute to a sustainable, low-carbon future. We're achieving this by creating Greenova8, a #renewableenergy #investment blockchain-based platform that connects investors with renewable energy projects like #solar or #wind farms. Our current focus is Pakistan, with plans to expand globally and drive #sustainable energy adoption.” And when asked about his expectations from International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)'s NewGen accelerator and its network, he added, "We aspire to collaborate with IRENA and its network to amplify our impact, share insights, and accelerate the global transition to renewable energy. We’re looking to partner with impact investors, renewable energy innovators, and sustainability-focused organizations to scale Greenova8 and transform the renewable energy landscape." The NewGen Renewable Energy Accelerator Programme for Youth is an initiative that was established by IRENA, with the support of the United Arab Emirates and in partnership with Enel Foundation and Social Alpha as Knowledge Partners.
