I recently made a mistake when celebrating a great month in our company.  We blew away our goal and I wanted to recognize our team. Instead of just congratulating our team for their great accomplishment, I threw in the dreaded "but" at the end of it. "but, next month will most likely be much different." There was no need for me to do this.  I intended to shield them from a possible letdown the following month since we always have a strong January. The "but" was not necessary at that time (and probably not at all). Celebrate your wins.  Recognize the success of your team - the other stuff can wait. A well-informed team already knows of the challenges that may lie ahead and is prepared to handle them. Let celebrating your wins stand on its own.  Do not dilute what your team accomplished. Interestingly, February came and they beat our target for that month as well.....and did it again in March.

What another fantastic session with the team at Portwest in Killarney this week. I worked with the team on: 💰 Selling styles on the Shopfloor and how to connect, engage and build brand loyalty with shoppers. 🧍♀️🧍🧍♂️Identifing customer profiles on the Shopfloor and having a selling preference for that customer persona. 🛍️🛒 Lots of role plays on how to upsell and link sell with shoppers through meaningful conversations that engage and connect with customers. The heart ❤️ of Retail is felt by shoppers from NOT the products BUT each team members personality on the shopfloor. How you show up is how you lead yourself and your team👨💼🧑💼👩💼 As a Leader in your Business how much of your personality your team’s personality and your companies personality impacts your bottom line??? What fun. Last night was a customer graduation, and a great excuse to dress up in a tux. Yes, yes, I was wearing shorts because it was a virtual event but making the effort to dress up was important. Celebrating the commitment of the 30 Sales Management graduates was incredibly important or as one senior leader shared, it was "significant". The journey of almost 12-months on the program was celebrated with graduates sharing their stories, our facilitators making special mentions for stand-out participation, and their leaders discussing how this will make a huge difference to their stakeholders (shareholders and customers). My favourite quote for the evening: "we are building the right Sales Management muscle memory". My favourite moment: Celebrating the 12 ladies on the Cohort who formed part of the most inclusive, representative group of managers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. A great reminder of how important it is to pause to celebrate. And to arrive dressed up for the part.

In 2015, Rémy Cointreau was launching the final phase of their global campaign 'One Life, Live Them' which saw the #brand #reposition themselves as a young, vibrate brand celebrating its dynamic target #audience. Our #agency delivered over a period of 18 months on a go-to-market #strategy which dealt with #repositioning the brand, building #awareness and product trial, increasing #sales distribution within HORECA, over-shadowing the secondary market and ultimately capturing a substantial share of the #cognac market in #Ghana.
