The ABA Techshow 2024 conference held in Chicago from Feb. 14-17, 2024, focused on legal tech with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI). Generative AI was a major topic of discussion, and the sessions delved into 101-level and more advanced 201- and 301-level topics. The Startup Alley competition showcased many AI-powered or AI-featured companies, and the top three startups were AltFee, Skribe.ai, and Paxton AI. The conference also highlighted the growing use of technology, particularly generative AI, in the legal industry and its impact on midsize firms. Clio, a practice management provider, announced its entry into the mid-market, but the company will continue to serve solo and small firms. Overall, ABA Techshow 2024 demonstrated how generative AI makes midsize law firms a force to be reckoned with in the legal ecosystem.
“For an annual conference known to cater to solo and small law firms, the buzz around the mid-market was noticeable, while generative AI remained the industry’s legal tech darling of the moment.” https://lnkd.in/eKcdmq7P ##legaltechnology
