Interactive, story, characters... These three words still bring me back to my initial passion. They are the reason I chose the gaming industry in 1999 - the ability to control characters I created with my own hands... Looking back, it seems like I've grown alongside the evolution of graphic technology, vigtously facing challenges head-on. Before the year 2023 comes to a close, I will unveil the results created together with my team this year. With less than 10,000 topology, 60 blend shapes, simplified rig control, and other optimized data, we were able to achieve high-quality modeling and facial animations. This R&D project is fully compatible with the MetaHuman League, and we successfully completed and shared it across the company. From casting actors to 3D scanning and completing animations, all of this was accomplished within a 5-month schedule with a team of 4-5 people. This was possible due to the accumulated experience and knowledge I gained over 20+ years. And collaborated with the brilluant R&D team and the SDS Spain team's top-notch rendering technology and exellent support. The Visual R&D team's challenge was to go from Good to Great, and above all, prove the ability to achieve high-quality results with optimized data. I want to express my gratitude to all who had worked this project done successfully. Now that we've laid the foundation, shall we create lip-sync and facial animation auto-generated by text?

Callisto Protocol is out and I’m flattered, truly thankful for having this opportunity to join at the beginning (late 2019 - we were around 30 people, studio was 2 months old) and help build the studio, pipeline, processes and obviously photorealistic characters, creepy enemies, define the mood, develop the gore system and the game itself amongst so much more.  I has been such an incredible journey full of learnings, challenges and a lot of joy and fun.I can’t thank enough Glen Schofield Christopher Stone Steve Papoutsis  , Stacey Hirata , Mark James for the trust, lessons, opportunity and support since day one. I’ve been able to be myself and continue to push, evolve and grow on a daily basis.  Special thanks to the Character Team and every vendor that collaborated with us. Our amazing engineers, gameplay and Ai, lead by Bill Petro , which has been teaching me and showing the other side of the equation. Our Materials and Environment teams, @amanda , Aasim Zubair and all the artists.  Our Tech Art team, for building tools, sharing knowledge and helping us maintain things running Jonathan Ramos , @chan and team  Our animation team, led by the creative minds of Tristan Sacramento , Jake Spence  , Primo Navidad . Our fantastic design team, managed by my friend Ben Walker , David Curtis Hill , Paul Guirao and many other creative minds.  Our great Audio team for delivering a very sound and beautiful experience - Nassim and co. Our amazing devops, Minkz Ngo  , Simon, Adal Becerra and all the IT folks.
