Happy Earth Day! 🌍 This is one of my favorite holidays - I wear this shirt on 4/22 each year. Today, our office building hosted a terrarium-assembling exercise and here is mine! 🌵 I like to share a sustainability tidbit with my colleagues (my Environmental Econ degree is really coming into the picture) and this year, it was about recycling plastic bags (grocery bags, dry cleaning bags, paper towels/toilet paper packaging, etc.) 🛍️ These items are not recycled in your mainstream recycle bins; rather, they can be dropped off at retailers such as Target, Publix and Harris Teeter. (P.S. they also take styrofoam!) My best advice is to use reusable bags when possible. Not only are they more sustainable, but they are so convenient (i.e. 2 bags for loads of groceries vs. 15 plastic bags that are a mess to carry) 🤗 Cheers!
