ISACA Vancouver Chapter reposted this
🌟 Proud #BC moment for Cybersecurity! 🌟 After over 12 hours of intense challenges at CyberSci I'm happy to announce that our BC teams have clinched 2nd and 3rd place nationally! 🥈🥉 A massive congratulations to Maple Bacon from The University of British Columbia for securing 2nd place and to Pencil Testers from University of Victoria for clinching 3rd place! 🏅🏅 We were very honored to have Sami Khoury who stopped by on his day off to deliver an inspiring speech. THANK YOU, Sami! It was an incredible experience at the Canadian Center for Cybersecurity, watching some of our best students compete in two thrilling events: 🔒 **Cyber Defence Challenge:** The CyberSci technical team crafted an automated bot to attack an unsecure system. The teams then work on securing those systems. 🎯 **Capture the Flag:** The next day teams faced off from 9am-5pm in a traditional capture-the-flag (#CTF) competion. If you're looking to hire top-tier cybersecurity talent, BC is teeming with potential! Feel free to DM me, and I'll connect you directly with these exceptional students. For community-focused cyber organizations interested in partnering with CyberSci please reach out to me! Thank you ISACA Vancouver Chapter for sending me out to support our students and looking forward to hosting another regional competition with Leonardo this November! Maple Bacon - Justin Prasad, Jacob Newman Liam B., Ruby Yang, @jason ngo Pencil Testers - Max Thomson, Kyle Stang, Malcolm Seyd, Katelyn D., Brennan McMicking #ISACA #CyberSci #Cybersecurity I #CyberDefence #CaptureTheFlag #ISACAVancouver Let's continue to foster and celebrate the incredible cybersecurity talent in Canada! 🚀
