ISDA has published analysis on interest rate #derivatives (IRD) trading activity reported in the EU, UK and US in the first half of 2024 and the second quarter of 2024. Key highlights for the first half of 2024 include: Total European IRD traded notional reported by approved publication arrangements and trading venues in the EU and UK rose by 9.1% to $109.1 trillion in the first half of 2024 from $100.0 trillion in the first half of 2023. Euro-denominated IRD traded notional grew by 6.1% to $60.8 trillion from $57.3 trillion and accounted for 55.7% of total European IRD traded notional. Sterling-denominated traded notional increased by 21.5% to $18.3 trillion from $15.1 trillion and comprised 16.8% of the European total.
