One more advantage of giving charity compared to other deeds is that its reward continues to grow even if we give the charity only once or in small amounts. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Indeed Allah accepts charity, and He accepts it with His Right (Hand) to nurture it for one of you, just like one of you would nurture his foal, until the bite (of food) becomes as large as Uhud." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 662) When we pray, the reward of the prayer is only for that prayer. When we fast, although the reward is significant, it is only for that day and will not grow. But when we give charity, it will grow as mentioned in this hadith. How? For example, when we donate to a tahfiz school to pay for their electricity, many students benefit from the electricity we help pay for, thus we get the reward. They read and memorize the Quran there comfortably because there is electricity - more reward. When they teach the Quran to others or when those people read or teach others, insya Allah, we will get the reward, too. That is one example where the reward can grow and flow. Charity also brings blessings to wealth. Hadith from Abu Hurairah r.a that Rasulullah SAW had said which means: "Charity does not in any way decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status." In Sahih Muslim's commentary by Imam An-Nawawi, what is meant by wealth will not decrease encompasses two things. The first is that one's blessed wealth is protected from harm and one's life becomes peaceful and free from stress. Ramadan is seems to be a religious activity but it is more than social philosophically. In Ramadan, all social activities started such as social gatherings, botherhoodness, combined prayers, poitive thoughts, paying of annual alms, charities, donations,and not harming each others.
