Reminds me of how during the Bosnian war Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) were referred to as Turks in order to try to erase their historic existence as a people in Bosnia. Which ultimately ended up in a genocide of Bosniaks in Srebrenica.

This man has an ideology that denies the rights of Palestinians to build their own state. He
repeated this 46 years old speech again few days ago, and If you compare both speeches, you can easily find that he repeated the exact following points except the last one:
- Palestinians have no rights to establish a state
- what we talk about is not the attempt to build a state ( Palestine) but the attempt to destroy one ( Israel)
- Israel will keep military control on all lands from the river to the sea
- Jordan is a Palestinian state ( of course he cannot repeat this statement now considering the Wadi Araba treaty between Jordan and Israel).
This man led Israel for more than 17 years out of the last 25 years. So you can imagine how he managed to destroy the peace process with such an ideology that contradicts with the basis of the two-states solution. At the same time, you can imagine the miserable life Palestinians had while living under the rule of Netanyahu.
Do not blame the Palestinian resistance for their response to such an ideology.

#arabs didn’t lose Palestine to Israel in 1948. The #Ottoman Empire lost it to the #British in 1917. British empire brought in #european#jews basically & settled them in Palestine. Imagine that the USA or Mexico or South American countries would allow local tribes and indigenous people now in the North and South American continents to reclaim their old lands!
Israel was awarded part of it by the #UN in 1947 when the British abandoned it & Islamic countries were all virtually colonies of european powers & had no say at the #unitednations. Israel started occupying more and more Palestinian land in 1948 with support of British, French and #USA and became a regional powerhouse.
Israel occupied further lands in 1967 when it attacked, and #jordan was forced to abandon its land in #WestBank.
The story is that basically european powers and the USA have used the weakness of Islamic countries to force the domination of Israel in the #middleeast.
Always important to listen to the other side so we can understand what they really want, how they educate their children and what their values and long term goals are.
