What a time to be in the Gen AI and data processing space! Today, I had the sheer pleasure of co-hosting a panel on Stream Data Processing with some fantastic speakers: Jayprasad, Megh, and Adrian. I was joined in facilitating this discussion by Divyanshu, in another collaborative initiative orchestrated together by Pathway and the Institute Technical Council, IIT Bombay. We covered a range of topics that students at IIT Bombay, and tech founders and engineers in general find exciting: ✔️ Starting off with streaming 101 ✔️ Current state of streaming in India and at a global level ✔️ Adopting streaming as a lifestyle choice in data teams ✔️ How to choose a stream data processing framework for scale ✔️ Use-cases of Stream Data Processing in Edge, Media, and Generative AI and (genuinely) much more... :) In recent months, we've also had the kind privelege of hosting sessions with Vijay Srinivas Agneeswaran, Ph.D., and Lukasz Kaiser. These discussions, conducted in collaboration with our partners from academia and the real-time analytics industry, offered insights that the community greatly appreciated. 🌟 Excited to Share My Achievement! 🌟   I am thrilled to announce that I have successfully completed the IBM watsonx GenAI Challenge Switzerland - Foundations, Applications, and Hands-On Implementations of Generative AI in Business! 🚀   As a Master’s Student in Data Science at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, this external module organized by IBM has been an incredible journey of learning and application. Over the past few months, I worked alongside a fantastic team of four fellow students on real-world use cases provided by SIX.   Course Title: watsonx GenAI Challenge Switzerland : Creating Business Value with Generative AI What We Did: - Lecture Series: Covered fundamentals of generative AI, client project management, and requirement engineering. - Practical Workshops: Engaged in hands-on lab sessions with generative AI tools and cloud services. - Group Projects: Analyzed real-life case studies to develop effective solutions. - Midterms: Presented project status and received valuable feedback from use case providers. - Final Presentations: Demonstrated our solutions, showcasing our understanding and application of course concepts. This experience has been incredibly enriching, offering practical insights into the potential of AI in business.
