ITE—A Community of Transportation Professionals’ Post

It has been a privilege to both serve as the LAC Chair for the 2024 ITE Western District Annual Meeting in Sacramento and run for District office. Although this meeting is a wrap, the journey is just getting started, as I am excited to join your WesternITE Board as Secretary-Treasurer in 2025! This meeting included over 600 participants, including 126 presenters, panelists, and moderators, and 33 exhibitor booths. We opened the conference with an inspiring keynote from Senator Angelique Ashby, and Caltrans Chief Deputy Director Mike Keever delivered the lunchtime address. We offered two technical tours: a bicycle tour of downtown Sacramento and an airside tour of the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). In addition to the robust technical program, we hosted Family Night at Punch Bowl Social, the inaugural Western District Bowl, and a western-themed Awards Banquet, featuring line dancing lessons, a DJ, and photobooth.
