Are the rings worth it? I’m not a massive gamer at all but as a kid, my Sega Master System was class. My #1 game is Sonic the Hedgehog. I don’t profess to be that good at it but I reckon there’s some stuff that I’m now reflecting on from this game. I have a few thoughts I’ll keep in but one I want to share is: Are the rings worth it? The aim of the game really is to get to the next level. Yes, you can find hidden passages, gain extra lives, kill all the enemies but it’s just about getting onto to the next thing. As Sonic ran, he would collect rings. If you hit something you weren’t meant to (spikes, enemies, etc) the first thing you would lose is the rings before you lose your life. I was thinking: 1. The rings protect us from dying (this might be true to some extent) But… 2. Collecting rings distracts you from the mission If you collect the rings whilst completing the mission, then it’s a win. The rings aren’t the point. “Rich isn’t what you think it is.” (Michael Buble) #IDEAS #digital #authenticity Footage from: https://lnkd.in/eh-sUgfn
