Great article around belonging. As leaders, it’s important that we build cultures supporting inclusion, diversity of thought, and genuine caring. Traits should also align with organizational values. The outcomes will be visible improvements in productivity and innovation, amongst others.

It’s so important to check in with one another and show that you care. One of Gallup’s key engagement questions asks you to rate if someone cares about you at work. Feeling like you are not cared about or valued leads to being disengaged and can ultimately cause your work to be impacted. A great practice is to take a personal inventory at the end of your day as a leader and ask yourself what did I do to show my team/teammates that I care today. Show your team the love!

This is an interesting article that should ring true to each one of us employees. I have first hand account that majority of coworkers and staff appreciates when leaders take the time to just say hello, ask how they are doing as long as it is authentic and meaningful. As leaders we should take the time, enagage, and get to know the team.
