How to structure a Salesforce App and Support team has changed... Instead of hiring a Salesforce Admin as a core FTE, I would hire a Salesforce Developer instead... Leave the Admin work to a Salesforce MSP or Agency that can do tasks/requests 24x7 and leverage a Developer to implement customizations... and if need be, act as the liason with the MSP and get more complex work done internally... ✌️ #Salesforce #team #build #manage

I know many people won't like it as I've mentioned it before... But, if I had ONLY 1 FTE that I was able to hire to Staff my Salesforce Team... for a Small Business... I would hire a Salesforce Developer over a Salesforce Admin 💯 of the time... Why? With an Admin you get "Configuration".... With a Developer you get "Configuration" + "Customization"... Again, assuming people/communication/analyst skills are the same... It seems like basic "math", but I'm sure many won't agree... A Salesforce implementation will always be the result of the skillsets that were there to implement the features... An Admin will always be "forced" to figure out something by using the Configuration tools available... or, may even say "It's not possible"... A Developer has a much bigger toolkit, and usually can make virtually anything possible on the platform...especially in the realm of integrations and services... Or, of course... a SMB could also just forget about hiring and use a Salesforce Agency and get the best of all worlds as well... #salesforce
