I didn’t expect this. I was supposed to simply toss a cereal box into the recycling bin. That seemingly easy task quickly turned confusing. After 10 minutes of sorting & second-guessing, it got confusing fast. The box had a recycling symbol, but was it really recyclable? Turns out, many symbols on plastic products can be “deceptive,” says the Environmental Protection Agency. Recycling rules are puzzling. Thought greasy pizza boxes were non-recyclable, but now many places accept them. Juice boxes? Some do, some don’t. And those caps on plastic bottles? Experts say we should check our local recycling rules. But with so many items, it’s tough to keep track. Didn’t expect to feel like I needed a recycling degree just to sort my trash. And it’s not just me. Many people are confused. Reading this, you might wonder if I’m frustrated or just curious... What do you guys think?? #recycling #sustainability #environment #ecofriendly #wastereduction #sustainableliving #zerowaste
