This is something I’ve never shared online before, and I’m very excited to tell you - I just graduated college! I’ve been working two full time jobs the last four years: full time YouTuber and full time student! And so I’m very stoked to be finished, degree complete 🥳 These last four years have been filled with all nighters to edit videos followed by all nighters to write essays, red eyes home from tech events to make it in time for finals and many 16 hour work days. 40-90 hour work weeks plus school. A grind at times but also such an amazing experience & privilege. I’ve loved learning since I was a kid and so any opportunity to do so, is energizing to me That said, I’m so incredibly excited and grateful to graduate because it means for the first time ever since starting YouTube at 13, it will be my sole full time job. Meaning I can now give even more time to NBT and making better and more interesting videos. NBT team and I are going to continue giving it everything we have to make energizing and informative videos and build NBT & our tech community into one of the best corners of the internet These last four years have been pretty surreal. My sophomore year of college was the year I recorded my first ever interview (with Sundar) and realized how much I loved interviewing people about technology. My junior year I got to fly all over the country to give talks and guest lecture at colleges, and this year, my senior year, was the year of so much momentum with videos, the business, and earning flight miles 😋 - 30 flights to go to events & record vids this year so far including going to the White House twice, Apple, Google & YouTube. Excited to keep it going My freshman year, very little happened, outside of recording in 150 SF bedroom, bc a global pandemic was underway 🫡 I just want to thank you so much for being here on this journey. Your support, comments and ideas are the jet fuel that drive us to make more and better videos. With gratitude, enthusiasm and a lil post finals relief 😋 Jacklyn (Also, thinking about making a video about this where I talk about how I manage my time/schedule and the lessons I learned from school - is that of interest?)
Congrats Jacklyn! Is that NYU purple? Asking for a friend (who is also an NYU MBA grad).
